Reliability records for production equipment
Specifications and launch reviews tell you what a camera or lens is supposed to do. This archive records what owners report afterwards: the failures, the repairs, the manufacturer advisories, and how long everything lasted before it went wrong.
Every figure is published with the number of reports behind it. Where there is not enough data to say something meaningful, the archive says so instead of guessing.
Cameras and lenses first, because they hold their value longest and their reliability matters most. Other categories are data entry, not new code.
Recalls, service programmes and quality notices, collected across brands. These are published facts rather than aggregates, and each one links to its source.
Sony offered free inspection and repair after finding that the ornament plate on some FE 35mm F1.4 GM lenses could detach. Sony states optical performance is unaffected.

Canon's first EOS R5 firmware update improved temperature detection and shooting time control in video, improved total shooting time when short clips are recorded with the camera repeatedly powered off and on at room temperature, and added messaging when overheat control is enabled alongside an external HDMI monitor.

Sony offered free inspection and repair after finding that some FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM units could make the attached camera inoperable, or affect the function of the camera's rear monitor. The programme was extended to 31 March 2024.

Sony repaired affected FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lenses free of charge until 31 March 2020, after some units failed to focus when autofocusing at a closed aperture, or drifted out of focus when the aperture was changed after manual focusing.

The scoring formula is published in full, including its limitations. A reliability archive that will not explain its own numbers is just an opinion site.
Every submission records an ownership period. Problems are optional details inside it, so satisfied owners are counted too and every rate has a denominator.
Sparse products are pulled toward their category baseline, so a dozen reports cannot outrank thousands. Below a threshold, no score is published at all.
Failure rates are reported by year of ownership, counting only owners who have held a product that long, so new releases cannot look flawless by default.
